    Shortly after Kaelee came to live with us, I noticed that she has a beautiful voice.  She had no formal training, or performance history, but she has a great voice.  I spent quite a bit of time encouraging her to use it.  At the beginning of the 2007 school year, Kaelee got involved with Haldane's Blues Devils.  She was originally going to sing the lead for "Chain of Fools," but a serious case of stage freight held her back.  Another girl was given the lead, and Kaelee was kept on as a backing vocalist for her.
     May 31 was the Spring Concert at Haldane, so as the dad, I arranged to get the night off from work, and went to the concert.  I was very impressed with all the musicians and vocalists who performed.  They were all a notch or two above what I was expecting.
     Kaelee did a fine job.  She has already told us that she intends to be in the Blues Devils again next year.  Hopefully her stage freight will be behind her, and she can really shine next year.
