Games

I've been an avid video game player for many years.  I've had quite a few consoles, including the original Atari, Turbo Graphix, Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and most recently the PS2.  In addition to the consoles, I have played games on many of my PC's.  Nothing beats a console game for simplicity, ease of use, fast setup, stability, and having a couple of friends sit down with you and play.  These are the reasons why I keep a console game system in the house.

PC's, on the other hand, I think have the upper hand in online game playing, and in game quality.  I haven't seen a console yet that can truly match a good PC in graphics power, or the ability to handle AI.  For those reasons, I make certain that my PC"s are built with enough power to handle some gaming.

Some of my favorite games include the Need for Speed series, Age of Empires series, Total Anihilation, Nascar Racing games, Grand Theft Auto, True Crime, and Motor City Online.  Unfortunately, EA pulled the plug on the Motor City Online servers in 2003, and without the servers the game doesn't work.

There is a new project underway by a company called Unleaded Games.  A couple of the guys at Unleaded are ex EA programmers, and they are now working on a game called Motor World Online.  Word is that the game is going to be FREE when it is released.  Motor World Online is supposed to be quite similar to Motor City Online, and looks pretty promising, so if you are at all interested in hot rodding, and / or online car racing, give Motor World Online a look!
