    Our family has a wide array of musical interests.  On this page, we will share links and information about our favorite artists, songs, instruments, etc.

Local Music

    In the Mid-Hudson Valley, we are fortunate to have a robust local music scene.  There are a number of local venues where area artists perform.  One of our favorite venues is The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie.  The Chance hosts a wide array of musical genre's.  Some of our favorite local artists include:

Audible Thought.  We've known bassist Jim Norton for several years, and bands.
Sction 18.  The first time we saw Section 18 play was in a contest at The Chance, to win an opening spot for a Twisted Sister show at the Poughkeepsie Civic Center.  Jim Norton (Audible Thought) was playing bass for a band called Operatika at the time, and they were in the contest.  Operatika won, but Section 18 put on a great show, and we've been going to see their shows ever since.
WithinAnotheR.  This band, lead by Dean Sternberg, is in it's third incarnation, and has never sounded better.
